Sun "xiaOt" Liwei is a retired Chinese Protoss player who last played for Invictus Gaming.

Before playing StarCraft II, he used be a high level Warcraft III player as well. He is now playing Heroes of the Storm professionally.

In Beta[edit]

xiaOt was active during the beta and participated in the 17173 Starcraft 2 World Cup where he made it out of the group stages, ultimately losing to DIMAGA 1-3.

Wings of Liberty[edit]

xiaOt has remained active and fairly successful by competing in weekly Asian cups. In 2011, he was invited to participate for a single Asian seed in the 2011 GSL World Championship. He reached the finals before losing out on the spot to Sen 1-2. xiaOt was able to qualify as one of six Chinese players to take part in the international StarsWar Killer 6 tournament. His first opponent in the tournament was MarineKing, whom he defeated 2-0. He then faced another South Korean, San, whom he defeated 2-1. Next, in the Round of 8, he defeated IdrA 2-0, gaining entrance to the offline portion of the event. There, he faced MC in the semifinals, losing 1-3. However, he managed to defeat LoveTT in the third place match to secure a third-place finish in the tournament. These victories gained recognition and respect for xiaOt amongst international fans.

xiaOt also qualified for the G-League Season 1 after fighting through a tough open bracket. He eliminated Luffy in the first round but was defeated by Loner in the Round of 8. Coincidentally, this loss occurred on the same day xiaOt faced MC in the offline semifinals of the StarsWar Killer 6 tournament.

With the recent success of both its DotA and SC2 teams, Catastrophic Cruel Memory was purchased by Invictus Gaming.[1] Being the new manager of the team IG, xiaOt forfeited his spot in the 2011 WCG China tournament due to his lack of practice time. xiaOt also did not participate in the 2011 Chinese Battle.net Invitational, creating rumours that he had put an end to his pro-gaming career.[2] However, he did take part in the Gview Thailand Starcraft II Invitational.

Unexpectedly, xiaOt left his position in Invictus Gaming for personal reasons at the end of the year.
