The Vanguard Invitational is the first invite-only event for professional players to show their worth on a new RTS battleground.

Format[edit]

First Group Stage

  • 16 teams in 4 groups of 4 teams each, played in GSL style format.
  • Matches are Bo5
  • Top 2 teams of each group advance to the playoffs.

Playoffs

  • 8 teams in a single-elimination bracket
  • Round of 16 to Semifinals are played in Bo5
  • Finals are played in Bo7

Schedule[edit]

The event will be broadcasted over two days, beginning at 5 p.m CEST / 8 a.m. PST / 12 a.m. KST on July 8th 2017 and is estimated to end at about 11 PM CEST, July 9th, 2017.

Rules[edit]

  • The invitational is being run globally, having the following server rules:
    • NA vs EU = EU
    • KR vs EU = NA Central
    • KR vs NA = NA Central
  • Race switching between games is allowed.
    • If you pick the wrong commander/race, a restart is allowed if it is within 20 seconds of game start.
  • If there are lag issues the players may leave the game and use the "resume play" function from the replay on another server. If a player is not in the game lobby after 15 min of its creation he may be disqualified.
  • Veto system is AB ABCDE.
  • In-game chat is allowed but no excess / distracting chat or bad mannered chat. Each participant should be ready and alert from 17:15 CEST to he is eliminated or to the end of the event. Consult primary admin if a game is not started in time. Map-hacking, stream viewing and other forms of cheating will not be tolerated and will lead to the player being dropped from the event and may exclude him from other Vanguard events as well.
