VT Gaming was a North-American based team formed in Warcraft III. The team initially was founded as a merger between two of the top battle.net clans on US East: Vain and ToRA. The teams came together to participate in US-based team leagues; Infernal Cry League (ICL) in particular. The team featured such North-American players such as st0p., PaperTowelRoll, K0ala, Flow, NeMaTo, Coolbro, FortuneCookiez, Soel, Arf, Mirhi, Flood, Whatsatree, PeachCobbler, Cool among others. At the height of VT's success it won the ICE, and was part of WGS, WHL and other semi-pro leagues just a step below NGL and WC3L.

After a period of inactivity, Mirhi resurrected VT for StarCraft II, and a very talented group of like-minded individuals orchestrated a complete restructuring of the team and website. Peanut from SC2GG.com's head staff joined in 2010 as writer, producer, and commentator for the VTG Open.

At its closing, in July 2011, VT Gaming maintained a friendly rivalry with other top-teams ROOT Gaming and Evil Geniuses after clashes late in several team and individual based events, as well as special showmatches.
