Editing RedBull BG Global Qualifier[edit]

First of all it is a subject of the whole community who is a notible participant and who is not, so you can't say the list is final as it will be edited anyway. Second are there people not in the list who did great at the last tournaments, for exmple sacsri, who you did not include in your list. So please don't say that the list is final if it obviusly is not (at least in the view of the people editing it). Corvuuss (User talk:Corvuuss|talk]]) 20:40, 24 July 2014 (CEST)

There are many players who have done extremely well in recent tournments who are not on the list but that list is set for a maximum of 32 players as you can see the wcs s2 na champion pigbaby is not on the list neither is violet and also patience isn't there so im sorry for you feeling upset about how it is i would love to have every player on the list but we can't. SNSeigifried (User talk:SNSeigifried|talk]]) 20:48, 24 July 2014 (CEST)

I didn't know there was a maximum for 32 players in the list, but if it is as you say, I'm sorry for my complaint . Corvuuss (User talk:Corvuuss|talk]]) 20:52 24 July 2014 (CEST)

Editing WCS America[edit]

Stop editing all pages of the Season 2 of WCS America to make them Season 3! You have to create new pages, not edit old pages. If you are not sure how to do it, you can come ask on IRC. Yhamm (talk) 09:05, 13 May 2014 (KST)

You can check my talk page to see my answer, as you didn't answer here. :) --Yhamm (talk) 09:44, 13 May 2014 (KST)
Sorry i didn't know about this talk page thing so kinda a scrub :) --SNSeigifried (talk) 08:51, 12 May 2014 (EST)

Editing team rosters[edit]

Thanks for helping with the updating specific player results on team rosters, specifically with Red Bull Battlegrounds, but from now on please use Template:Pl as opposed to Template:Ro, as we are trying to transition all results to the new format. Thanks again, Josh Video (talk) 05:28, 13 July 2014 (KST)

Just to clarify, Ro is still better for active results (since saying somebody is in 1-16th sounds weird), but once a tournament is finished Pl is the correct template to use. --Androxide (talk) 05:32, 13 July 2014 (KST)

Notable Participants tables[edit]

Hey! Thanks for doing all 4 of the notable participants tables for Red Bull Online this week. The one thing I would like to comment about is the number in the table. Somewhere between 30 and 32 is the absolute maximum for tables, not the minimum. The range of players within each table shouldn't be that different. For example, from the 4th one I don't think DemiLove, whose page is in Userspace, is anywhere close to the same level as CJ herO, MC or HyuN, who are premier tournament winners. Well having some top foreigners is nice to have, you don't have to feel the need to get up to 32 players every time. Once you start struggling for players to find or players who are obvious, that's when you should stop adding players to the list since the talent becomes too diluted and difficult to find. --Androxide (talk) 08:57, 18 August 2014 (KST)

Okay thank you and no problem i felt it would be better to have a table for each day since 1 table i felt wasn't enough and from the 1st 3 qualfers we can definitely see that XD!!! :) --SNSeigifried (talk) 09:12, 17 August 2014 (EST)
Yeah for sure the issue wasn't having 4 tables, that's pretty standard for qualifiers; the issue was trying to fill them with people who didn't really belong there. --Androxide (talk) 10:20, 18 August 2014 (KST)

Editing WCS global finals[edit]

I don't think you should add players so quickly to the WCS global finals as qualified, I just reverted such an edit (sry, was overzealous) because I think you made the edit based on a Predictor prediction with too little samples, at the moment it shows only 8 players qualified there (http://sc2.4ever.tv/) based on 30 million samples. Of course if I'm mistaken, you can put that information back in.--XYc (talk) 08:36, 13 September 2014 (KST)

Uploading photos[edit]

Hi, when you upload a photo you must be sure that Liquipedia have the rights to use them. You can see the list here : https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Liquipedia:Copyrights_repository

For every photo or image uploaded, its license must be provided, with the source if possible, or we will have to delete it. Also, please don't just name a photo based on the player, add the date or the place it was taken or you take the risk to have 2 different photos with the same name like here : https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/File:Maru.jpg

--Yhamm (talk) 10:57, 4 January 2015 (KST)

Sorry about that i didn't know :( --SNSeigifried (talk) 08:59, 3 Janurary 2015 (EST)

Uploading team icon[edit]

Hi, Team icon must be 60x25 pixels and in png format with a transparent background. (you really don't think it's weird to have a huge 50x50 icon in middle of smaller ones?) There is also a page to create all team template: Special:CreateTeams --Yhamm (talk) 10:23, 13 February 2015 (KST)

You might want to read that again for File:1sA.png. --Yhamm (talk) 05:29, 19 April 2015 (KST)

Unofficial World Champion[edit]

Hey, first of all thanks for keeping the Unofficial World Champion page up to date! One thing though, the "Recent Changes" section really should be limited to 5 entries or else it starts to look a bit silly. At one point I think it was even longer than the 2014 entry! I've changed the headers around a bit to make it an even clearer distinction now. Thanks again! --Androxide (talk to me/parlez-moi) 07:12, 5 March 2015 (KST)

About Top (Chinese), Shana and Newbee[edit]

Top gave the icon of Newbee for the first time in the Ro16 of GPL 2015 Season 1/Premier. Shana and he should entered Newbee near March 9th, 2015. Before the time, Top is the captain of Team SC2 and fighted against Newbee in Heroes.--Thickertom 22:40, 28 March 2015 (CST)

Last Chance Standings - WCS Qualifier[edit]

Hi, how can you have a full standings for the Last Chance Qualifier when the 3rd qualifier ain't even finished? --Yhamm (talk) 05:01, 16 April 2015 (KST)

I tallied up the points so far and am updating as the qualifer proceeds took me 20 mins--SNSeigifried (talk) 04:04, 15 April 2015 (EST)

Handling transfers[edit]

Hi SNSeigifried, when adding a transfer to the wiki, please don't forget to add a reference. Also, please do not only change the infobox and the first sentence of a player's profile, but add at least one sentence about that transfer to his/her biography section. The same goes for the pages of the previous and new team, it should be mentioned and properly sourced in the timeline section. I just noticed it for DMC leaving Vega Squadron to join Cascade as I can't find any source for that.

Keep editing and gl hf, Clubfan (talk) 03:31, 15 May 2015 (KST)

Source for DmC going to Cascade is the editing of the page by the Cascadeixbet liquipedia account and DmC being on Cascade on EU server. I don't know why some teams don't release sources like redbloods and team extreme supremacy--SNSeigifried (talk) 02:34, 14 May 2015 (EST)
Looks like he's on Cascade since at least April 27, I decided to put that date as the date of transfer until we know more.Clubfan (talk) 03:46, 15 May 2015 (KST)

Disbanded teams[edit]

Hi,

as written in its documentation, the template {{Disbanded}} is deprecated. Instead, please use Category:Disbanded Teams or Category:Merged Teams, and fill the |disbanded= parameter of the Infobox team with the date of disbandment if you can. – ChapatiyaqPTSM (talk) 04:32, 17 September 2015 (KST)

(in case it was not clear, it implies you should revert your edits on some disbanded teams --Yhamm (talk) 09:37, 17 September 2015 (KST))

Transfers[edit]

Hi SNSeigifried,

please add at least one line of text to player pages when editing them because of transfers. It certainly helps improving the biographies by a lot.

Leenock and SBENU[edit]

Where is your source for Leenock joining SBENU?

Seeker (talk) 12:04, 11 October 2015 (KST)

Leenock was listed under SBENU banner when he signed-up for DH Stockholm and was also in their uniform while he was playing which can be seen in the vod of the event. http://www.twitch.tv/dreamhacksc2/v/17658304 1:54:58 --SNSeigifried (talk) 08:24, 11 October 2015 (EST)

Probe[edit]

Hi SNSeigifried,

I'm wondering why you moved Probe (player) to Probe (Player). We have used Mvp (player) or STX (player) for several years now, and even in other pages like Super (Korean player), "player" is in full lowercase.

ChapatiyaqPTSM (talk) 23:21, 27 November 2015 (KST)

Thought it was suppose to be capital when i moved it the first time sorry. --SNSeigifried (talk) 09:25, 27 November 2015 (EST)

Ok, no big deal. I just wanted to make sure if there was something I missed before deciding to move the pages. – ChapatiyaqPTSM (talk) 03:29, 28 November 2015 (KST)

Hey Seigi!

On the Gamercom Erik will be playing as Protoss, and not as zerg.

User:Muukzor[edit]

Heya, we agreed with him to have the Buttpluggen pages be changed to the Esprit name, by the same reasoning we don't record Barcode names in tournaments (since his main ID was Esprit at the time), so let him have these. We are not going to move his Zalazane page to mainspace for the time being though. --FO-nTTaX (t,c) 08:51, 10 December 2016 (KST)

WCS Circuit Standings[edit]

Hey, could you update the WCS Standings using the google doc, because it helps eliminate human error (although there was a programming error which is why it didn't show denver when I updated it, but it's fixed now), and it also works for another template.
