Team Acer is the eSports division of international computer manufacturer Acer Inc. Even though the company originated in Taiwan and has its headquarters in New Taipei City, the team's headquarters are situated in Bad Tölz, Bavaria, Germany just outside the Bavarian state capital of Munich.

The team was founded in 2011, and currently has teams in StarCraft II, Trackmania and FIFA. Team Acer's content creators also produced the popular video interview series, Grilled.

In April 2013, Team Acer opened a gaming house in Bad Tölz for the team's players and crew to congregate to prepare for any events or projects.[1]

Acer is also involved in the organisation of the Acer TeamStory Cup by TaKeTV, an international team league with offline finals at the TaKeTV studios in Krefeld, Germany. Team Acer was an invitee for the first two seasons in 2013, placing second in Season 1 and first in Season 2.

Team Acer's StarCraft II squad was created in July 2011 by Mondragon and Kaoru. In 2013, Axiom and Acer entered a Team Partnership agreement with to compete jointly in the GOMTV Global Starcraft II Team League as Axiom-Acer, with several of Acer's Korea-based players living at the Axiom team house in Seoul, South Korea. Axiom-Acer was successful throughout the two seasons of GSTL in 2013, placing third in Season 1 and first in Season 2. The partnership was dissolved in January 2014 after it was clear that GSTL would not continue, with Axiom-Acer being the reigning champions.

  • January 4th, Team Acer and Axiom conclude their Team Partnership as GSTL champions.[2]
  • March 3rd, Cella is no longer Team Acer's coach.[3]
  • January 14th, Team Acer and Axiom form a Team Partnership for the GSTL, creating Axiom-Acer. Scarlett and MMA are the initial players to be sent to participate.[4]
  • April 29th, Team Acer announces the opening of a German team house near the team headquarters in Bad Tölz with MMA being its first resident. The house has space for up to 10 players and another five laptop workstations, enabling the team to invite others for boot camps and training sessions.[5]
  • August 31st, Team Acer officially signs INnoVation from STX Soul.[6]
  • November 29th, Axiom-Acer defeats AZUBU to win the 2013 GSTL Season 2. MMA and Innovation each get one win in the first two series before Innovation defeats SuperNoVa in the ace match to win the title.
  • July 19, Team Acer announces the creation of its StarCraft II roster with four Zerg players: Nerchio, Osho, ParanOid, and Mondragon, with the latter also being manager alongside Kaoru.[14]
  • September 9th, elfi joins Team Acer.[15]
