Talk:3-Gate Sentry Expand
From Liquipedia Starcraft 2 Wiki
PvZ 3gates versus PvT (Not really a PvP build)
PvZ 3gates usually involve 6 sentries. InControl-style PvZ really revolves around this.
PvT 3gates stop short on sentries in many cases, only building around 4 before getting more meaty zealots and stalkers to do damage against MM and bunkers. The substantial differences between these really should split into a second article with this opening devoted to PvZ matchup.]
It's listed as a PvP build, but at the pro level and common diamond masters level, it is not a PvP build. The efficacy of zealots to tank and stalkers to micro damage while taking very few losses makes it impossible to defend the expansion with merely 6 sentries. --Danglars 20:01, 21 July 2011 (KST)
Update: 30th April 2012
A lot of important information from the TL guide (what to scout for, specific transition information, "Shark Mode") was missing from this page, so I thought I'd add it all in. I've also removed any reference to this build being used in PvT: The 3gate Pressure-Expand used in PvT is a lot different to this build (mostly because it is aggressive), so mixing them together would just be confusing.
