SK Gaming is one of the oldest names in electronic sports, based out of Germany and best known for its Counter-Strike successes. SK Gaming consists of the following divisions:

- August 7th, SK Gaming begins its StarCraft II division with the acquisition of former top-tier WarCraft III undead player Fredrik "MaDFroG" Johansson.[1]

- January 9th, SK Gaming announces the recruitment of Terran players Jimmy "Jimpo" Wölfinger and Hun "inuh" Park.[2]
- January 12th, SK Gaming announces the departure of MaDFroG.[3]
- March 12th, SK Gaming announces the recruitment of protoss player Johannes Sabroe "Joe" Witt.[4]
- July 4th, SK Gaming releases the European roster of inuh, Jimpo and Joe.[5]
- July 15th, SK Gaming announces a partnership with Old Generations, giving joint sponsorship of players Min Chul "MC" Jang and Yoon Yeol "NaDa" Lee.[6]
- November 16th, SK.SC2 Assistant Manager Samuel "DarthBotto" Horton announces his departure from SK Gaming.[7]

- January 13th, the oGs.SK partnership ends, with MC becoming a full-time player for SK Gaming, while NaDa remains with oGs.[8]
- May 17th, GOMTV announces that SK Gaming and Incredible Miracle would be partnering for the upcoming 2012 Global StarCraft II Team League Season 2.[9]
