Coming from an FPS background, without any previous RTS experience, Minigun decided to pick up the game after watching beta videos from HDStarCraft and Husky.[1] Minigun started playing StarCraft II initially only for fun. As he worked himself up the North American ladder, he reached the #1 position. His play caught the attention of CatZ, which eventually led to his recruitment to ROOT Gaming.[2]
On June 12, 2011, ROOT Gaming was acquired by compLexity Gaming. Minigun joined compLexity Gaming as a result of the merger.[3]
He would part ways with compLexity on January 15, 2013 to rejoin ROOT Gaming.[4][5]

On May 4th, 2013, Minigun announced a Personal Sponsorship with Planetside 2.[6]

Minigun has a rivalry against IdrA. After a few ladder games were streamed by IdrA (Minigun winning both of them, with plenty of trash talk from both sides), they had a best of 3 against each other in the EG Master's Cup Season V. Minigun took IdrA out 2-1. Minigun repeated the feat in EG Master's Cup Season VI, again besting IdrA 2-1.
