Description[edit]

The Locust is a timed life unit that is spawned in pairs by a Swarm Host. After spawning, Locusts begin in their flying form, and though unable to attack, can fly over terrain and use the Swoop ability to land and engage targets. The Spawn Locust ability has a cooldown of 43 seconds after birthing Locusts.

Vs.TerranIcon.png Terran[edit]

Locust are typically sent en masse into Terran positions. Large groups of locust can deal significant damage to a position with inadequate defenses, thus requiring the Terran player to commit significant forces to deal with the onslaught of locust. A Terran player will typically employ Siege Tanks against a locust threat. Tanks in Siege Mode have excellent range and splash damage, making them the most cost effective unit to defend a position against locust.
