Simon "Jig" Lacasse-Labelle is a Canadian Zerg player who is currently playing for ROOT Gaming.

Biography[edit]

Wings of Liberty[edit]

Jig played in the WCS 2012 Canada National Finals on July 14-15, 2012. After falling to Attero in the Winner's Bracket, he defeated JakeBake before dropping out of the tournament to Magic.

At LAN ETS 2013 in Montreal, Canada, on March 1-3, 2013, Jig reached the finals, defeating AlexCMoi to do so. He lost to hendralisk to take second in the tournament.

Heart of the Swarm[edit]

Jig played in the IEM Season VIII - New York America Qualifiers on September 7-8, 2013. In the first stage, he defeated notable players Kane and Phog to reach the second stage. There he defeated Suppy 2-0 and MajOr 2-1 before falling 0-3 to HuK. In the Loser's Bracket, he immediately lost to hendralisk to fall out of the qualifiers.

Jig participated in the WCS America 2013 Season 3 Challenger League Qualifier on September 20, 2013. He defeated PiG and SSanaEE to qualify for Challenger League. Once there, he was unable to win a single match against any of his opponents, losing to Sage 0-2 in the bracket stage and 1-2 to both TheStC and Ryung in the group stage.

In the Challenger League Wildcard Qualifier for 2014 WCS Season 1 America, Jig qualified for Challenger League. He later failed to qualify into Premier League losing 0-3 to HyuN in his Challenger League match.

Jig is a regular attendee of the SkyzoCup LAN hosted in Quebec City. With two first place finishes, and two second place finishes, he has won a total of $900.
