Biography[edit]

Mike "Husky" Lamond is an American StarCraft II caster originally from Oregon, but currently living in California.

In Beta[edit]

Husky, with HDstarcraft, ran the HDH Invitational a 16 man tournament which was the biggest StarCraft II tournament at the time. This tournament featured some of the best foreign players of the beta and had the biggest prize pool of any tournament until the release of the game.

Wings of Liberty[edit]

Husky runs a very popular YouTube Channel, HuskyStarcraft. He has also been invited to cast a variety of tournaments including the TSL3, the GeForce Pro/Am, MLG Anaheim 2011, MLG Raleigh 2011, and the After Hours Gaming League.

  • He is a member of Nerd Alert, a StarCraft-related pop group with Kurt Schneider.[1]

  • Co-founder of TheGameStation, a popular YouTube channel and company under Maker Studios that focuses on improving gaming media on the internet; at the beginning, only Starcraft channels were partnered (though it has greatly expanded since), and currently Artosis, HDstarcraft, TotalBiscuit, Moletrap and Day9 have channels partnered with TGS.[2]
  • Said he would do something embarrassing if Glider won the Youtube On The Rise contest.[3] He ended up covering Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl".[4]
