Gfinity Spring Masters I

The Gfinity StarCraft II Spring Masters I is the first StarCraft II event hosted by Gfinity in its new eSports Arena in London. It will take place on March 27-29th in the Gfinity Arena in Fulham, London. The event features 16 StarCraft II players competing for a $10,000 prize pool.

Overview[edit]

The Gfinity StarCraft II Spring Masters I tournament features 16 players competing for a $10,000 prize pool. The tournament is hosted by James "BanKs" Banks and casted by Thomas "Khaldor" Kilian, Benjamin "DeMusliM" Baker, Nathan "Nathanias" Fabrikant, Mackenzie "Petraeus" Smith, Jos "Ret" de Kroon, John "JoRoSaR" Sargent and Robert "Pughy" Pugh.

Format[edit]

Group Stage:

  • 16 players in 4 groups consisting of four players each played in a double-elimination bracket format.
  • All matches are Bo3.
  • Top two players of each group advance to the Playoffs.

Playoffs:

  • Eight players in a single-elimination bracket
  • Quarterfinals are Bo3.
  • Semifinals are Bo5.
  • Finals are Bo7.

Prize Pool[edit]

$10,000 USD and 1,800 WCS points are spread among the players as seen below:

* Players must advance one round in order to claim WCS points for that placement. Being seeded through qualifiers counts as advancing one round.[1]

1 MaNa and ForGG cancelled their participation due to illness and were respectively replaced by Heart, who was beaten by MaNa in the first European Qualifier, and Terminator.[3]
