ECV eSports (ECV) is an organisation based in the Netherlands, the StarCraft II team was created on September 24th 2013 consisting of amateurs, The academy team and professionals were announced at January 22nd 2014. The organisation was previously known as Team Visualize which started in 2006 before making the transition in the end of 2012 to ECVisualize focusing more on high level eSports.

ECV eSports has beside their academy and professional an amateur team as well which focuses on growing eSports and StarCraft 2 in the Netherlands. As an organisation that plays on the highest level in the Netherlands, they feel as a Dutch role model in gaming and eSports that they have to provide the right example, by providing advice to gamers, parents and more on responsible gaming.

ECV eSports is mostly known for having teams compete in the following games:

  • StarCraft II
  • League of Legends
  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
  • FIFA

History[edit]

  • January 3, ECVisualize picks up ArT and Scythe comes out of retirement as player/manager
  • March 16, the team rebrands in ECV eSports[1]
  • June 8, NightWarrior becomes manager and changes are made to both academy and main team
  • July 17, Arnovic leaves
  • July 28, Zerg player Gremory joins ECV
  • August 13, ECV welcomes the Norwegian terran HeltEn
  • August 14, the British terran RazerBlader become part of the ECV family
  • August 19, HeltEn leaves
  • August 20, Mastermind and Kenshin join ECV
  • March 24, ECVisualize makes changes to its academy team.[2]
  • April 13, Tarrantius joins ECVisualize.[3]
  • August, Rodzyn becomes team captain. SouLeer joins the main team.[4]
  • September, Scythe and JackO leave. ReiGn joins the pro team from the academy. Nomade, PainGamer, Schnitzel and Seryph leave the academy.[Citation needed]
  • September 16, ArpoS becomes manager for the academy.[5]
  • September 24, ECVisualize announces comeback in StarCraft 2.[24]
