CranK was eliminated by BBoong in the semifinals of the GSL November 2011 preliminaries. He also took part in It's Gosu eSports Invitational 1 where he lost to DdoRo in the first round.
He has appeared in clan battles, such as in IPL Team Arena week 13 vs Millenium, where he defeated Stephano, but then lost to Adelscott.
July 26, it was revealed that CranK had left SlayerS for medical reasons.[2] For the MLG 2012 Summer Championship, Crank received a sponsorship from TotalBiscuit to attend and compete in the event. This would later become the starting point for the creation of TotalBiscuit and Intricacy's Axiom, of which CranK would be the first member.[3]

On November 10, 2011, CranK participated in the ESV TV Korean Weekly Season 1 Weekly 14. After taking down KeeN, Dragon, Vampire, and TREME, he advanced in to the finals to face TaeJa. He was not able to advance any further and lost to TaeJa by a score of 1-4 and ended up taking second place.
On November 17, 2011, CranK participated in the ESV TV Korean Weekly Season 1 Weekly 15. After taking down Sniper, TaeJa, Dream, and TREME, he advanced in to the finals to face GuineaPig. He was not able to advance any further and lost to GuineaPig by a score of 1-4 and ended up taking second place.

CranK defeated Apocalypse in the finals of his bracket in the 2012 Global StarCraft II League Season 3 preliminaries and will make his GSL debut in code A.

On June 7, 2012, CranK participated in the IPL 5 Amateur Championship Qualifiers. CranK took down Arthur, Royal, Salmosa, Life and then went on to advance in to the finals to face TREME. In the finals, CranK defeated TREME by a score of 2-0 and was able to take first place. His first place finish qualified him for the IGN ProLeague Season 5.

[edit] MLG Raleigh Summer Championship
CranK received a personal sponsorship from TotalBiscuit and Reddit thus was able to attend this event. His flight, transport, and much of the hotel was paid for by TotalBiscuit, food and misc by redditor donations.[4][5] CranK participated in the MLG Raleigh open bracket, in the first round he got a BYE then followed by defeating Spiralsc2, iNcontroL, JimRiSiNg, TubbyTheFat and TT1 all 2-0 to advance to group play. In group play CranK defeated: TaeJa, Revival, lost to HerO, then defeated TaeJa again 4-3 in an extended series, he would go on to play HerO once again and lose 3-4 in a very close series. In the championship bracket he would lose in losers round 6 to Heart 1-2 ending his MLG run and finishing in 9-12th place.
