Anton "Aristeo" Vasilyev is a retired Zerg player from Russia, formerly playing for Team Empire.

Wings of Liberty[edit]

Aristeo and his mate Cubert form the 2v2 team of Empire. Together, they are one of the best European 2v2 team, and they won several 2v2 online tournament, such as 4players Team Action Cup 2v2 (14 victories as of July 2011). Moreover, they performed well in clanwars, such as SC2CL Season 2, where they beat almost every opponents who faced them, contributing to the victory of their team. Surprisingly, Aristeo and Cubert only communicate via chat in-game, they never felt the need to use Skype or other similar devices.[1] Cubert decided to take a break in March 2011, therefore breaking the successful pair.[2] The latter came back in August 2011 in order to compete alongside Aristeo in Evil Geniuses Master's Cup Series VI.

However, Aristeo is not reluctant to compete in 1v1, and appeared in many weekly tournament. He also qualified for HomerJ Tt eSports Cup, where he was knocked-out by Brat_OK in the first round. In May 2011, he successfully qualified for the Dailymotion Cup. Even though he wasn't able to qualify for the main bracket in a tough group (his opponents were SjoW, DieStar, and NightEnD), he still managed to win 2-0 against SjoW.

World Championship Series[edit]

In the losers' bracket, Aristeo defeated Strange, LiveZerg, Pomi, and Roll, in order to advance in to the fifth round to face sLivko. Aristeo wasn't able to advance any further as he lost to sLivko by a score of 0-2 and ended up in fourth place.
