The 2013 WCS Season 2 Europe is the European event of the second season of the 2013 StarCraft II World Championship Series.

Format

Map Pool

Premier League

This is the Premier League of WCS Europe, where 32 players compete for this seasons European championship, seeds for the 2013 WCS Season 2 Finals, and points for the 2013 StarCraft II World Championship Series. See the Premier League page for more details.

  • Group Stage #1 (Round of 32):
    • Eight groups consisting of four players each, groups are played in a dual tournament format where all matches are Bo3.
    • 1st and 2nd places will advance to the Premier Leagueremier League Ro16.
    • 3rd and 4th place will drop into the Challenger Leaguehallenger League.
  • Group Stage #2 (Round of 16):
    • Four groups consisting of four players each, groups are played in a dual tournament format where all matches are Bo3.
    • 1st and 2nd places will advance to Premier League Ro8.
    • 3rd and 4th place will drop into the Challenger Leaguehallenger League.
  • Quarterfinals:
    • Single-elimination playoffs for the seasonal championship.
    • All 8 players who make it to this round are seeded in next season's Premier Leagueremier League.

Challenger League

  • Bracket Stage:
  • Round of 40:
  • Round consists of 8 qualified players, 8 players from last season's Challenger League Group Stage and 16 Premier League Ro32 3rd and 4th place finishers.
  • Winners advance to the Challenger League Ro24, losers drop to the group stage.
  • Round of 24:
  • Round consists of 16 Challenger League Ro40 winners.
  • Winners advance to Challenger League Ro16, losers drop to the group stage.
  • Round of 16:
  • The Premier League qualification round.
  • Round consists of 8 Challenger League Ro24 winners and 8 Premier League Ro16 3rd and 4th place finishers.
  • Winners advance to next season's Premier League, losers drop to the group stage.
  • Group Stage:
  • Eight groups consisting of four players each, groups are played in a dual tournament format where all matches are Bo3.
  • 1st and 2nd places will advance to next season's Premier Leagueremier League.
  • 3rd place will play in the next season's Challenger Leaguechallenger League.
  • 4th place will drop out of the Challenger Leaguehallenger League and have to requalify.
