- All matches are Best of 9, All-Kill Format
- Each winner will stay, the losing team will chose their next player and the map
- The top 4 performing teams (Prime, StarTaleQ, MVP, and FXOpen e-Sports) of 2012 GSTL Season 1 will seeded into round 2.
- Round 1
- The remaining 8 teams are divided into 2 groups of 4.
- Dual Tournament format (same as Code S Ro32 / Ro16).
- Two teams advance to round 2, two teams are eliminated.
- Round 2
- All four advancing teams from round 1 join the top 4 teams from last season into the second group stage.
- Dual Tournament format (same as Code S Ro32 / Ro16).
- Two teams advance to round 2, two teams are eliminated.
- Playoffs
- Semifinals: Group A 1st vs Group B 2nd, Group A 2nd vs Group B 1st
- Grand Finals
