  • YellOw, a Brood War legend did the ID Call for Code A players starting from the Round of 8.[1]
  • This was the first GSL to have a Protoss in the finals of Code A. It also happened to be the first time to have PvP finals in either Code A or S.
  • This was the first GSL to have a ZvZ finals in Code S. It also happened that this was the first time to have a teamkill in the finals.
  • The Code S champion, NesTea, won without dropping a single game, getting him his third GSL win.
