  • Double-elimination bracket: Players were placed in the winners' bracket. Losing in the winners' bracket would cause a player to drop to the losers' bracket. Losing in the losers' bracket would get the player eliminated. All matches were Bo1 except finals which were Bo3.

Trivia[edit]

  • Three of Boxer's games were honored in the first edition of Pimpest Plays. From the official games, his matches against Nazgul and Smuft both received the a Honorable Mention for his flawless dropship mechanics. The Emperor also played the Bulgarian Protoss DIDI8 in warm-up matches, and for this game he was awarded the sixth place.
  • Racepicking based on map or opponent's race was extremely common for foreigners back then, explaining the high number of players playing different races throughout the tournament.
