Violet is a Korean Starcraft progamer. He plays as Protoss and is currently a member of team KT Rolster.

[edit] Biography
Violet was one of the first protoss trialed to overtake Reach's place as the head Protoss of KTF. He made his debut in late 2007, starting off with small amounts of promise until a flurry of losses in Proleague caused him to drop to the KTF B team. While out of the spotlight, Violet played in little more than a few games here and there in Proleague and GSL, having minimal success. However, he caused quite a stir when he exploded in 2009 with the start of the 4th round of the 08-09 Proleague, going 14-3, showing a lot of promise to become a S class player.
Violet continued his streak into the 09-10 Proleague, scoring an impressive 7-0 in round 1 and leading a revival of the KT Protoss lineup. However he was unable to maintain his streak and his play became much more erratic as the season wore on. Violet played poorly in individual league qualifiers and his sole accomplishment in them was qualifying for the ro16 of the Bigfile MSL, where he was unfortunately paired against his teammate Flash and lost 0-2 (despite displaying a cheeky sign in his booth asking for Flash to take it to game three). He remained a staple of the KT Proleague lineup and finished with a strong record of 20-14, including a quick win in the Proleague Grand Finals where he scouted Canata's in-base proxy rax.
Violet stepped down as captain of KT when Reach returned from ACE. After this he began to have more success, scoring two 3-kills in the '11 Winner's League. On January 27th 2011 it was announced that Violet had been diagnosed with a form of acute leukemia and would be undergoing chemotherapy.[1]

- Violet said in July 2009 that he believes the current best progamer is Bisu, and watches his VODs to practice. In an interview, he has said "During practice I think to myself, “in this situation, what would Bisu do?” and there are many times when I think of a solution. I also believe his understanding of the races is different from others. I especially think the way he perceives the zerg race is different from most players. Though I can imitate his play similarly, I can’t perfectly play like him yet. Often, it seems like the protoss I’m playing with and the protoss Bisu plays with are two completely different races, and so I feel even more so that he is a great player."[2]

- Violet was the first player to have an international fancafe based at TeamLiquid[4]. The fancafe was opened on June 29th, 2009 and reached 100 members on July 4th, 2009.
