Single League Design - Brainstorm

  • Create pages for all leagues played
  • Surpass R&S in detail:
    • Battlereports of important games, possibly stored in Pagename/Final, Pagename/Ro4, and so on.
    • List Upsets, possible royal roaders, etc. maybe Liquibet quotas even?
  • name formating: Year Name (optional: Season) OSL/MSL

Award Sandbox

Mule.png Old M.U.L.E
I award you this Mule for the sheer amount of physically taxing work you have done for Liquipedia. You are sturdy and hard-working, just like this most useful companion.
Comsat.png Comsat Sweeper
I award you this Comsat for revealing new or previously invisible information to Liquipedia and its users. May your scanner never run out of energy.
Injection.png Royal Injection
I award you this Injection for introducing evolutionary new content to Liquipedia. You truly created some new species.

Featured Articles

  1. Starleague.png

    Starleagues

As the new Starleagues are shaping up (MSL trailing behind as usual), some users have taken the opportunity to add the gist of the old ones to liquipedia. Soon you'll not only be reading the results and standings, but also the storylines, with great victories, great disappointments and all within this wiki!

  1. Ret.jpg

    Jos "ret" de Kroon

A new chapter of "Foreigners in Korea" begins. Jos "ret" de Kroon will be going to Korea to represent Europe, Teamliquid, and Dutch pancakes. And in due time, Liquipedia has seen an initiative to introduce foreign players to our wiki-space. Some are already represented, many profiles still hunger for your contribution. We wish ret good luck in Korea, and we hope his profile will soon see your support. On a sidenote, did you miss the TSL art? We sure did!

  1. 200 Outsider.jpg

    Outsider

As the OSL and MSL wind down, some great games have been played on these new maps, such as Outsider. This map especially has proven to be truly royal terrain, providing highly entertaining back-and-forth fights. Go ahead and take a look, and if you see anything lacking, help a player out, and add what you know.

  1. EMP Splash.png

    EMP_Shockwave

A flurry of great spell pages have been added recently and EMP_Shockwave is one of them. Take a look if you want to know more about this spell - the radius of EMP is suprisingly small, but it can be highly effective not only against protoss shields, but also against spellcasters of any race, such as gigantic Battlecruiser fleets in TvT.

  1. EnsnareScr.png

    Ensnare

Thanks primarily to Stet_tcl, we have specific statistics and knowledge of the in-depth mechanics of the Queen's Ensnare ability. Pretty much everything you needed to know (or ever wanted to know) about the Ensnare ability is in this useful little article. If you see any techniques that need a bit of padding, please go ahead and do that!

  1. Bisu Stork shots.jpg

    PvP Positioning

Malongo has recently edited the PvP Positioning article. Take a look if your PvP is lacking (and don't let your opponents look if you play PvP against them.) Some of the other matchups need some work with army positioning, so go see what you can do to help!

  1. ProtossSimCity1.png

    The Great Walls

First the building sizes, now the specific setups. Lots of work is poured into getting Terran Walls and Protoss Fast Expansions safe and secure. Sim-City artists have added numerous examples to both of these pages, and we are naturally anxious to see more and to see them added to Map pages (see Destination for an example).

  1. Jaedongnew.jpg

    Fighting Spirit - The Tyrant

Jaedong 'The Tyrant' is undoubtedly one of the greatest StarCraft players of all time. Not only did he win 2 back-to-back OSL, claiming the Golden Mouse for his 3rd title, he also has one of the most well-made Liquipedia Profiles. Thanks Nonduc for the crazy amount of work there.

  1. Zergattack.png

    Zerg Attack

There has been a real attack of the swarm lately. Both the Zerg vs. Zerg Guide and the Zerg vs. Protoss Guide have received quite a few edits. So go check them out and see if you can add anything!

  1. Ultra-alone.jpg

    Fatness Measured

As you can see, Ultras have difficulties to bond. No, this is really about the amazing effort that was done to research true unit and building widths. So next time your wall-in fails, you will know why by referring to these statistics.

  1. July5poolbest.jpg
Already discussed extensively in the liquipedia announcement, the Meta game has found its way into the wiki! The Meta game literally means 'beyond the game', and refers to the overall state of Starcraft gameplay. An abstract concept, it encompasses everything from overall strategy and tactics, to specific builds and micromanagement techniques.
  1. StorkBio2.jpg
    Bisubio.jpg

The two most dominant Protoss Players of all time jointly initiated the "Taekbang Era", an era of unprecedented Protoss dominance. Both have received some attention to their articles here too! Of course I am talking about the Protoss heroes Bisu and Stork.

  1. Mutalisk Harass.png

    Muta Harass

This article walks you through all the small details of performing a successful Mutalisk harass: Early-game Mutalisks are harassment units and should be used as such. They should never directly engage an army. Their strength lies in their mobility, picking off stray units, workers and buildings. Because no unit is fast enough to keep up with Mutalisks, they provide indirect map control - if your opponent splits his army to attack you too early, Mutalisks can deal quite a headache by targeting undefended areas of your opponent's base and retreating once the defending army arrives.

  1. Derp.jpg

    Magic Box

The fixed magic box is the maximum distance your units can be from each other and still stay in formation when you issue an order. The size of this box is hardcoded into StarCraft and varies for air and ground units.

  1. CalmBio2.jpg

    Calmness prevails

Calm is one of the most exciting talents to make their breakthrough in 2009 - he scored very high in Proleague and claimed his first single title, the 2009 Avalon MSL, including a ZvZ win against Jaedong! Also, his rise is well-documented on his page.

  1. Sliding1.jpg

    Resident Ghosts

With the arrival of highly complex maps such as Outsider, El Nino or even the earlier Monty Hall, passing seemingly solid walls has become an indispensable talent to have. This article shows you how to!

  1. Mech as a Problem?

Once upon a time, Liquipedia held an event. It invited some great players, some hosts to interview them, and the first Liquipedia Q&A was born. Terran players IdrA, Artosis, and Ver were pitted against the Zerg Day[9] and Chill. The results was an exciting discussion about the limits and possibilites of mech play.

  1. Same as ever? Hardly!

EVER08.jpg
. Steadily, Leagues have begun to be documented on Liquipedia. One of the first was the EVER2008 OSL, from that old veteran sponsor. It also ended in a veteran claiming the title, and, his Golden Mouse. Re-read the story here!
  1. 3BSi5HH - else too long

At latest since July's triumphant victory in EVER08, this build has been known to Zerg, and Protoss are thoroughly frustrated by it. It belongs into every Zerg player's arsenal against Protoss and is rightly so well-documented on the wiki.

  1. Flash Style!

Back in 2008, when Carriers were considered a very viable option in PvT, one Terran would have none of this no more: Flash pioneered a heavy upgrading style that rendered Carriers utterly useless. PvT evolved towards Arbiters as the primary lategame tech, and it was heavily due to Flash's Double Armory Build.
