As the only Protoss to be picked by MBCGame Hero in the 2007 draft, and a member of the strong by. clan, Tyson was a practice partner for his team. He played his first televised game in a 2v2 against OnGameNet Sparkyz, in an unimpressive match. [1].

He has played in several individual tournaments. In Incruit OSL and Bacchus OSL, he was not able to it make out of the Round of 36 after losing to Rock and Calm respectively. In Bigfile MSL and 2011 ABC Mart MSL, Tyson failed to advance to the Round of 16 after ending up in last place with losses to Jaedong, sKyHigh, Hydra and Light.

Tyson also played in Proleague for MBCGame Hero. In 2008-2009 Shinhan Bank Proleague, he lost to Hiya and Young ending with a 0-2 record. In 2009-2010 Shinhan Bank Proleague, Tyson managed to get some wins over notable players such as Forgg, Mind and Midas ending with a 13-7 record. In 2010-2011 Shinhan Bank Proleague, Tyson played the most games yet netting a lot of wins early on before losing five games in a row to finish with a 18-15 record. After MBCGame Hero disbanded, Tyson played under Team 8 where he posted a 4-5 record in 2011–2012 Proleague Season 1. As Proleague slowly transitioned to Starcraft II, Tyson would finish with a 1-3 record with his only win against leta in the 2011–2012 Proleague Season 2.

Post KESPA era[edit]

Tyson went on to participate in many tournaments including Sonic events, LoveTV Starleague, and 41 Starleague. In the SOSPA Ranking Tournament, he played in the 11th and 13th to 17th edition. In the 11th edition, he finished first in his group advancing to the elimination rounds where he lost to Movie 1-3. In the 13th and 14th edition, he was eliminated early on in the group stages. In the remaining editions, Tyson managed to pass the first group stages only to get knocked out in the second group stages in third or last place.

He played in the 8th and 9th editions of the SonicTV BJ Starleague (SSL). In the 8th SonicTV Starleague, he was able to advanced from the group stages to the eliminations rounds. He was then beaten by Hiya 3-2 to get knocked out. Tyson did not have the same level of success in the 9th SonicTV Starleague because he got eliminated in the Round of 16 group stages. He did not have much success in 41 Starleague Season 1, 41 Starleague Season 2, and LoveTV Starleague Season 1 as he was unable to advance out of the Round of 32 group stages. In 41 Starleague Season 2, he would make it all the way to the elimination rounds only to get knocked by Ample 2-1.

Aside from individual tournaments, Tyson participated in the 2014 Gabangpop 1st Sonic Proleague playing under the ex-MBCGame tag. He ended up finishing with a 3-4 record with wins over Modesty, Mind and Ample.
