- Founded by KeSPA in November 2011.

Team 8 was formed in November 2011 after the disbanding of MBCGame_HERO, WeMade FOX and Hwaseung Oz. KeSPA created the team with "a desire to serve the greater good by allowing more pro-gamers to continue their activities, and operate the Proleague in a more stable manner."[1][2] Its original members were Sea, Baby, Speed, Jaehoon, Tyson, Sang, Jaedong, Killer and Ryul2. Championship winning coach Joo Hoon (two time champion with SKT) was appointed head coach/manager, while Hang San Yong was appointed coach.
