StarCraft, as a professional sport, has many leagues. The two most popular individual leagues are the OnGameNet Starleague (OSL) and the MBCGame Starleague (MSL). The Proleague is the premier team based competitive league.

Korean Leagues

StarCraft, as a professional sport, has many leagues. The two most popular individual leagues are the OnGameNet Starleague (OSL) and the MBCGame Starleague (MSL). The Proleague is the premier team based competitive league.

OSL

The OnGameNet Starleague (or OSL for short) is the most prestigeous Starleague in Korea. It's organized and broadcasted by OnGameNet (OGN) and many progamers. Nada, July and Jaedong have won this League thrice, earning them a Golden Mouse.

MSL

The MBCGame StarLeague (or MSL for short) is the OSL's little brother. Although less prestigeous, the MSL is still well attended as well as endowed with high-level play. Famous title winners include iloveoov. Savior and Bisu.

GOM

GOMTV joined the rank of Starleagues in 2008 after hosting their GOM Invitational. The GOM Starleagues catered to the foreign public when broadcasting te tournament online and contracting English caster Nick "Tasteless" Plott. the GSL ran for 3 seasons.

Proleague

The Proleague is a joint venture between MBC, OGN, KeSPA and IEG. It is a long tournament where the 12 Professional Starcraft teams compete, and which lasts the whole year. Progamers consider it to be the most important competition.
