[edit] Biography
[1]Im Sung Choon, better known as IntoTheRain started playing Original Starcraft since 1998, October, and started progaming since 2000, spring from Game-q Star League. He decided to start playing with Prototss, because Terran was too simple, and Zerg was too "disgusting". And he always used to like some magic stuff before Starcraft, so decided to choose Protoss. Sung-Choon never liked crowded places, with people watching him playing. He mentioned in a number of interviews that he sweated a lot, and he would make some mistakes when playing in front of massive live audience. He felt that he couldn't prove all his skills.
Before his progaming days Rain was in a guild called IntoThe, the very same team from where his apprentice, IntoTheRainbow, would rise a bit later. When the guild was founded, the leaders made a bunch of IDs from which the players could choose from. Rain never got the best ID in his opinion, IntoTheAiur, as it was already taken. So he was forced to take in his opinion the worst one, intotherain.
Sung-Choon made himself known by winning one of the Game-Q tournaments finals vs BoxeR3-2, and went later on to win the GeMBC Race Wars also vs Boxer(3-0). Although Rain is considered one of the best Protoss players ever, he never made it big in the Starleague, making it only to the second round twice in Hanbitsoft and Coca-Cola. The main reason why he never got to show his skill in high level OGN is because of his nerves in from playing in front of an audience. One of the things that seem to prove this is that he annihilated most of the players in the Game-Q tournaments because the games were played in closed chambers. Ironically, considering the history with Boxer in Game-Q tournaments, he was the one to drop Sung-Choon from his last Starleague, the Coca-Cola Starleague. Although IntoTheRain did well against every race, he was known as one of the best PvZers because of his storms.
After his progaming career Sung-Choon went on to become a commentator for KT-KTF. He also mentioned in his interviews of the possibility of opening his own internet café.
