  • United States Marth Ken (2003-2018) - A Marth player from SoCal who dominated the tournament scene during the "Golden Age" of Melee, winning nearly every major tournament from 2003 to 2006, a feat which earned him the nickname "The King of Smash". He is ranked #4 on The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100.
  • United States Marth Azen (2002-2016) - A Marth player from Virginia who was Ken's main rival during the "Golden Age" of Melee. His early prominent use of multiple characters earned him the nickname "The Master of Diversity". He is ranked #8 on The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100.
  • United States Ice Climbers ChuDat (2004-Present) - An Ice Climbers player from Virginia. He was a member of the H2YL crew and was one of the best players in the world during the "Golden Age" of Melee. His impressive results continued into the 2010s with many high tournament placings and top player wins. He is known for pushing the early Ice Climbers meta and for his iconic "Yayuhzz" pose after defeating opponents. He is ranked #11 on The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100.
  • United States Sheik Marth Fox Mew2King (2005-2022) - A Sheik, Marth, and Fox player from New Jersey and one of the Five Gods. he is famous for studying frame data and playing the game at an absurd level of technical skill, earning him the nickname "The Robot". He is often considered to be the greatest Brawl player of all time, winning multiple majors from 2008 to 2011. He has also played at a high level in Project M, Wii U, and Ultimate, and he co-owns Most Valuable Gaming. He is ranked #5 on The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100.
  • Sweden Peach Fox Armada (2007-2018) - A Peach and Fox player from Sweden and one of the Five Gods. During his career he won multiple iterations of Melee's most prestigious tournaments, and was known for his intense rivalry with Mango. He was also known for his dominant play in Project M and his precise play with Pit earned him the nickname “The Swedish Sniper”. He is ranked #2 on The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100.
  • United States Falco Marth PPMD (2009-2016) - A Falco and Marth player from North Carolina and one of the Five Gods. He has always been considered the least powerful of the Gods, having won less major tournaments that his counterparts. He was sponsored by Evil Geniuses before retiring in 2016 due to health issues. He is ranked #7 on The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100.
  • Sweden Fox Leffen (2010-Present) - A Fox player from Sweden, considered to be one of the best Fox players in the world. In 2015, he became the first player ever to defeat all of the Five Gods in tournament play, a feat that earned him the nickname "The Godslayer". He also became the first player to win a major tournament in the era of the Gods, doing so at B.E.A.S.T. 5. He is ranked #6 on The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100.
  • United States Sheik Fox Plup (2009-Present) - A Sheik and Fox player from Florida, considered to be one of the best Sheik players in the world. In 2017, he became the second player to defeat all Five Gods in tournament play, as well as the second player to win a major tournament in the era of the Gods, doing so at GENESIS 5. He is ranked #10 on The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100.
  • Japan Yoshi aMSa (2013-Present) - A Yoshi player from Japan. He is well known for pushing the limits of his character, and for wearing Yoshi's red alternate costume, earning him the nickname, "The Red Yoshi". In 2022, he won The Big House 10, becoming the first Yoshi player to win a major tournament in Melee history. He is ranked #21 on The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100.
  • United States Marth Zain (2015-Present) - A Marth main from Virginia, considered to be the one of the best Marth players in the world. He is one of the most dominant players in the post-Five Gods era, winning several major events since 2018, including Shine 2018, GENESIS 7, and GENESIS 8. He is well known for his extremely technical and consistent playstyle, often being compared to Armada. He is ranked #9 on The Melee Stats All-Time Top 100.
  • United States Sheik Jmook (2016-Present) - A Sheik player from New York. He is famous for re-introducing Sheik to the top levels of competitive Melee. He also became one of Zain's main rivals during Melee's post-lockdown era alongside Cody Schwab. He is currently sponsored by FlyQuest.
Ultimate[edit]
  • United States Diddy Kong Sephiroth Cloud Bayonetta Donkey Kong Tweek (2014-Present) - Tweek is an American multi-character specialist who has been a longtime rival of MkLeo across the titles of Wii U and Ultimate. Tweek was ranked #2 on Wii U’s final PGR and has maintained a Top 10 ranking throughout Ultimate’s PGRU and UltRank. His close, spectacular sets with MkLeo are heralded as some of the best in Smash history, some of which include his wins at 2GGC MkLeo Saga and Smash Ultimate Summit 3. Tweek documents his journey as a competitor on his podcast Tweek Talks together with Charles, Pink Fresh, and Hazmatt. In 2023, he was signed to Luminosity alongside MkLeo.
  • Mexico Cloud Pyra and Mythra Sparg0 (2019-Present) - Sparg0 is a Mexican Cloud prodigy who plays for FaZe Clan, described by MkLeo as “Ultimate’s next best player”. Sparg0 emerged as an unbeatable WiFi warrior in online tournaments during lockdowns, transferring that success to offline American tournaments after lockdown. Using his bold and aggressive playstyle, Sparg0 placed in the Top 3 of every in-person major he attended since summer of 2021 to 2022, winning many supermajors such as Collision 2022, Mainstage 2022 and Battle of BC 5.
  • Dominican Republic Sonic Sonix (2019-Present) - Sonix is a Dominican player for Luminosity. He is one of Sonic's top representatives alongside KEN. He is known for his counter-offensive mindgames and studious personality. He won CEO 2022 and Port Priority 8.
  • United States Fox Fox Light (2016-Present) - Light is an American Fox main in Ultimate and Wii U who plays for Moist Esports. Known for his high-pressure rushdown and fast-paced sets, commentators have given him the nickname “The Protagonist” of Ultimate. He won MomoCon 2022.
  • France Wario Wario Wario Glutonny (2009-Present) - Glutonny is a French Wario player active in Ultimate, Wii U, and Brawl. Alongside Bloom4Eva and Sisqui, Glutonny is a mainstay of Europe’s Smash scene, and has been ranked #1 in Europe throughout Ultimate’s lifespan. He plays for Solary and is MkLeo’s training partner.
  • United States Rosalina Olimar Min Min Rosalina Olimar Dabuz (2009-Present) - Dabuz is an American Rosalina & Luma player for Team Liquid. He is one of the oldest top players still active, known for his studious personality, defensive playstyle, and strong ability to multitask puppet characters. He won Wii U’s most prestigious tournament, 2GGC Civil War. Dabuz has been ranked top 10 in every iteration of the PGR and PGRU and is considered one of the best players of all time across titles.
  • Japan Pit Joker R.O.B. zackray (2017-Present) - zackray emerged Japan's first prodigy in Ultimate, maining Pit, R.O.B., and Joker, and counter-picking numerous other characters. He has won many tournaments in Japan and the United States, including Big House 9 and Kagaribi 5. He plays for DetonatioN FocusMe.
  • Japan Pac-Man Kazuya Pac-Man Tea (2015-Present) - Tea is a Japanese Pac-Man main, known for his intricate set-ups and bait & punish playstyle. He is the first Ultimate player to win majors in all three main competitive territories: Europe, Japan and North America. He won the supermajor Temple: Hermès Edition and plays for ZETA DIVISION.
  • Japan Pyra and Mythra Olimar Olimar Shuton (2015-Present) - Shuton is an Ultimate Pyra & Mythra and Olimar main. He was a top player in Japan in Wii U alongside KEN, komorikiri, Abadango, Kameme, and Ranai, and is one of the most consistent players in the Japanese Ultimate scene today. He won EVO Japan 2020 and plays for SunSister.
  • Canada Kazuya Terry Riddles (2018-Present) - Riddles is a Canadian Kazuya and Terry main who plays for Team Liquid. He is known for his devastating pressure and punish game, granting him the ability to close out stocks in very little time. He won Collision 2023 and is ranked #9 on UltRank 2022.
  • United States Zero Suit Samus Zero Suit Samus Marss (2016-Present) - Marss is an American Zero Suit Samus player in Ultimate and Wii U. Known for his self-described “read-heavy” playstyle, Marss advances his pressure through tricky movement and unorthodox setups. Marss won GENESIS 7, and has a widely-followed YouTube channel.
  • United States Roy Cloud Cloud Kola (2016-Present) - Kola is an American Roy main, previously known as Salt One in Wii U. He has a highly offensive playstyle, which increases in intensity over the course of a set. He closely rivals Riddles and won CEO 2021. Player for Moist Esports.
  • Japan Lucina Min Min ProtoBanham (2017-Present) - ProtoBanham is a Japanese Lucina and Min Min main, known for his graceful neutral and playstyle surrounding wavelands. ProtoBanham uniquely interrupts set-play by swapping between Lucina and Min Min over the course of a set. He won Double Down 2022 on the day he was signed to Crazy Raccoon.
  • United States Peach Peach Samsora (2015-2021) - Samsora is an American Peach player. In Wii U, Samsora was ranked #22 on the PGR100. Samsora was a top Ultimate player, winning Shine 2019, as well as being ranked as high as #2 on the PGRU.
Wii U / Brawl[edit]
  • Chile Diddy Kong Meta Knight ZeRo (2012-2020) - ZeRo is a Chilean Wii U Diddy Kong and Brawl Meta Knight player. Before his retirement and post-retirement controversy, he was the best Wii U player of all time on the PGR100, winning 23 majors and supermajors throughout his career. ZeRo was also a top Brawl player, having been ranked #3 on the closing 2014 SSBBRank. From 2014-2015, ZeRo had a 56 tournament win streak, including EVO 2015.
  • United States Palutena Zero Suit Samus Meta Knight Nairo (2009-2020) - Nairo is an American Ultimate Palutena, Wii U Zero Suit Samus, and Brawl Meta Knight player. He was the first ever person to take a tournament over ZeRo at MLG World Finals 2015, and is known for his rushdown playstyle. He was tied with 9B for #1 in Brawl on the closing 2014 SSBBRank and is #2 on Wii U’s PGR100.
  • Canada Snake Mario Snake Ally (2009-2019) - Ally is a Canadian Wii U Mario and Brawl Snake player. He was one of ZeRo's major rivals in Wii U, even winning EVO 2016. He also briefly competed in Ultimate and won Pound 2019 before his ban.
  • United States Snake Hero Bayonetta Zero Suit Samus Salem (2012-2021) - Salem is a American Ultimate Snake and Hero, Wii U Bayonetta, and Brawl Zero Suit Samus. He won Apex 2013 and EVO 2017 before his ban in 2021.
  • United States Sheik Sheik VoiD (2016-Present) - VoiD is an American Sheik main. He is a top Sheik representative alongside Mr. R and a top SoCal Wii U player alongside Larry Lurr. In Wii U, he was consistently ranked in the top ten of the PGR throughout the game's lifespan, notably winning Smash 'N' Splash 4. He is great at mastering the early metas of platform fighters, earning him the title “The King of Games”.
  • United States Pikachu Pikachu Pikachu Ice Climbers ESAM (2008-Present) - ESAM is an American Pikachu main in Brawl, Wii U, and Ultimate. In Melee, he repeatedly appeared on the SSBMRank. In Wii U, he was ranked #17 on the PGR100. In Ultimate, he won Glitch 7 and 8.5.
  • Japan Bayonetta Ice Climbers 9B (2010-2017) - 9B is a retired Wii U Bayonetta and Brawl Ice Climbers. He was tied with Nairo for #1 in Brawl on the closing 2014 SSBBRank and was the organizer for Japan’s Sumabato tournaments.
  • Japan Meta Knight Otori (2011-2015) - Otori is a retired Brawl Meta Knight who had won Apex 2012 seemingly out of nowhere. His profound skill and rare travels granted him a somewhat mythic status in the community, similar to that of Ranai. He was ranked #4 in Brawl on the closing 2014 SSBBRank.
