Controversy[edit]

After game four of Komorikiri vs CaptainZack, Komorikiri claimed that the Damage Ratio was set to 0.9. This was confirmed, and the fourth game in the set was replayed as a result. It was later realized that the results of Dabuz vs ZeRo could also have been affected by the changed Damage Ratio. In response, the TOs stated that the station's settings were checked beforehand, so the set should not have been affected.[2] However, testing done by the community suggested that the Damage Ratio had been altered prior to that set.[3][4]

Several players also alleged that they were told to play against opponents different from those listed on the smash.gg brackets.[5][6]

Both issues were addressed by the TOs after the tournament, and both Komorikiri and Dabuz were promised compensation.[7][8]
