Jason "ANTi" Bates is a former Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Wii U player from New York.

Biography[edit]

ANTi was known as one of the most versatile Wii U players in the world, having used many characters such as Mario, Cloud, Zero Suit Samus, Meta Knight, Sheik, Diddy Kong, and Charizard, at a high level. He was ranked as the 14th best Wii U player of all time on the PGR100.

ANTi joined Dream Team, alongside Dabuz, on June 22, 2016.[1] On August 22 of the same year, the pair left the organization due to a missed payment.[2] ANTi later joined Immortals on September 13, 2016.[3] He left Immortals on September 9, 2018.[4] He and Larry Lurr joined T1 as their first Smash players on April 17, 2019.[5]

Controversy[edit]

On July 1, 2020, he was accused of several cases of misconduct, including a sexual relationship with a minor (the last from an a person who wanted to remain anonymous).[6][7][8][9][10][11][12] He replied with a TwitLonger stating that the anonymous minor had told him she was 18, admitting to having had sex with her, and stating he did not believe her to be 15 at the time but claiming it as a vengeful tactic because they stopped talking. He later deleted the statement in favor of speaking to a lawyer.[13][14] He was released by T1 following these allegations on July 2, 2020.[15][16][17]
