Cursed Hollow is a heroes battleground revolving around the "Ravens Curse" a powerful effect that cripples the team that suffers from it. Players trigger this effect on their enemies by collecting tribute which appears periodically through the map. Collecting tribute is a channeling effect that can be interrupted.

This battleground has three main lanes. Tributes spawn randomly through the middle of the map. Mercenaries in this map are split evenly, with no "middle" mercenaries and are placed in opposing sides with the placement being inverted, so that the right side ogres push the bottom lane, and the left side ogres push the top. The camps consist of one ogre camp, one knight camp and one golem camp. The ogres are placed in such a way that taking the opposing sides ogres will cause them to walk behind the first fort and bombard it from a location where creep waves will not attack them. Crucially mercenaries are not affected by the curse.

The curse activates when either team reaches 3 tributes, the cursed team will find that all their creeps are reduced to 1 hp, their forts and other buildings (excluding the core) will not shoot for the duration, which is roughly one minute.

Players will find themselves forced to cooperate in taking tributes and defending when they become cursed as well as having to actively fight over mercenaries.

Battle Ground Objectives[edit]

The main objective of Cursed Hollow revolves around collecting tributes to curse the enemy to destroy the enemy base.

Tributes[edit]

  • Tribute begins spawning after approximately three minutes
  • The first team to collect three tributes will activate the curse, although any tributes the enemy team had will carry over to the next curse
  • When collecting tribute, the player will cast a channeling spell and must be defended, if the channeling player is damaged the channeling is interrupted.

The Curse[edit]

  • There are two principal effects from the curse
    • All creeps are reduced to 1 hp
    • Forts and other building will not shoot (excluding the core)
  • The curse lasts ~1 minute.

There are six mercenary camps on this map.

Siege Ogres[edit]

Located near both top on the left and the bottom on the right, the left will push onto top lane when captured, while the right will push into the bottom lane.
