Abilites are various effects that cards have. They are marked in bold in the card description.

Battlecry[edit]

Battlecry is an ability that is triggered when a minion is summoned.

Charge[edit]

Charge lets a minion attack the same turn it is summoned.

Choose One[edit]

Choose one allows you to choose between two different effects/abilities when a minion is played.

Combo[edit]

Combo effects are triggered if another card has been played the same turn.

Deathrattle[edit]

Deathrattle is triggered when the minion dies.

Divine Shield[edit]

Divine Shield absorbs one attack or spell/effect that deals damage.

Enrage[edit]

Enrage is triggered when a minion takes damage.

Freeze[edit]

Freeze makes the target unable to attack the next turn. If a Hero is targeted, the hero is unable to attack (if for example a weapon is equipped), but can play cards and hero powers normally.

Inspire[edit]

Inspire is an ability that is triggered when the owner of the minion uses a Hero Power.

Overload[edit]

Overload reduces the amount of mana the player has at the start of the next turn.

Secret[edit]

A secret card remains hidden from the opponent till it's triggered.

Silence[edit]

Silence removes all effects from the targeted card.

Stealth[edit]

Stealth makes a minion untargetable by attacks or targeted spells/effects, and is removed once the minion attacks. Non-targeted damage (AoE, random damage dealers etc.) can still hit.

Spell Power[edit]

Spell Power increases (or reduces) the power of spells by the amount stated, for example increasing the damage of a spell by +1.

Summon[edit]

Summon adds a minion for free. This ability is often coupled with another ability stating the triggering event, like "Battlecry: Summon"

Taunt[edit]

Taunt forces enemy minions and the enemy hero to attack this minion. If there are multiple minions with taunt, any one of them can be attacked.

Transform[edit]

This ability transforms one minion into another, effectively replacing the original minion.

Windfury[edit]

Windfury allows a minion to attack twice.
