Not so fast.

Stuns are the most common and dependable kind of disable. A hero or unit under the effect of a stun is unable to move, attack, use items, or use abilities until it wears off. Stuns will also interrupt any channeling abilities, such as using a Town Portal Scroll. Stuns may also include knockback.
Mini-stuns are a shorter version of a regular stun, usually lasting a fraction of a second. They are most useful in interrupting enemy spells or preventing enemies from moving effectively. Generally any stun less than 1 second is considered a mini-stun.
Shackle abilities are another variant of stun. They bind or tether the enemy unit to the caster or to a specific point. Some shackle abilities also provide a pulling or stunning effect. A few shackle abilities require channeling by the user but not all do.

When affected by any kind of stun, a blue swirl appears over the stunned unit.

Bashes and Mini-bashes are similar to Stuns and Mini-stuns with one main difference: bashes are unreliable and may only occur by chance. Bashes are passive and usually include bonus damage when they happen. All bashes use pseudo random distribution.

When affected by any kind of bash, a thick yellow swirl appears over the bashed unit.
