PGL have announced the second Minor, the PGL Open. The tournament will be held in Bucharest, from October 19th until the 22nd.[1] As a Minor, the 8 participating teams will fight for a $300,000 USD prize pool as well as qualification points for The International 2018.

Format[edit]

  • 2 Invited teams: Evil Geniuses and LGD Gaming
  • One qualified team from each region.
  • Group Stage:
    • Two GSL groups
    • Top 2 of each group move on to the playoffs
  • Playoffs:
    • Single-Elimination bracket
    • All matches Bo3

The prize pool of the tournament is $300,000 USD and 300 Pro Circuit Points.

1 Digital Chaos.SA disbanded and were replaced by Infamous.[2]
2 China Victoria was unable to participate due to acute pancreatitis. He was replaced by China QQQ.[3]
