OpTic Gaming is an American organization known for its Call of Duty, Halo and Gears of War teams.

Organization History[edit]

OpTic Gaming is one of the more storied organizations within the competitive side of the Call of Duty franchise. Established in 2006 by KR3W for the aspirations of becoming a Call of Duty sniping team, it has since then grown into a full-fledged gaming organization. Only leading OpTic for a short time, KR3W stepped down with Jon3S taking his place. Jon3S only lead the team for a very short time as well, stepping down in 2007 to then hand over the team to Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez. H3CZ ran the team for two years before uploading their first video to YouTube in 2009. Making a name for himself as well as OpTic Gaming, H3CZ and his team are now staple names in the YouTube gaming community with over 1,000,000 channel subscribers. The same year OpTic Gaming started uploading to YouTube, H3CZ had established a Call of Duty competitive team that would become one of the teams with the biggest fanbases and presence in the community to ever play the game. Throughout their history in Call of Duty, they have long held a rivalry with Team EnVyUs, this being dubbed 'eClassico'. Although the roots of this rivalry is in Call of Duty, it has now found its way into other esports including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Halo, and Gears of War.

  • September 26th - OpTic Gaming signs The Dire.[1]
  • November 28th - MiSeRy leaves the team and Saksa is picked up as a full time stand-in for the remainder of 2017.[2]
