Overview[edit]

Natural 9, or N9, is an Australian Dota 2 Team.

Since their formation, they have been considered to be the best Australian Dota team. The history of N9 backtracks before the advent of Dota 2, where players from MCity and LGD.au played in domestic and international tournaments in DotA under the name, Natural 9.

After winning the BenQ The Clash 2 in late 2011, on the January 21, 2012, the team was acquired by Absolute Legends, and Scott "bLeeK" Jensen replaced David "r1sk" Arnous on Feb 26th.[1][2] However after their stint in The International 2012, Absolute Legends decided to part ways with the organisation. This was confirmed by GoDz, the team manager at the time with plans of a Natural 9 comeback.

On December 11, 2012, Invasion sponsored Natural 9 and the players played under the tag Invasion-N9.[3]

In late 2016, Natural 9 qualified for the ROG MASTERS after reaching in the top two for the Oceania qualifers and at the main event in Malaysia they were in the quarter-finals of the playoffs, losing to eventual champions, Team Secret. Following the tournament, the organisation made two changes to their line up with the addition of XemistrY and LordBoonz (who were Big and Black previously) at the expense of sLiCKz and r1sk.

In April 2017, they won the first season of AEF Dota 2 League, with an undefeated 14 match winning streak in the playoffs. [4]

N9 was previously known as MCity and LGD.au.
