Fragbite was founded in 2002 by brothers Tomas "samot" Hansson and Filip "flpee" Hansson, and officially launched on November 1st. In the beginning the focus was articles, interviews and news about Counter-Strike and other shooters. In January 2011 it was announced that the Swedish news-site Nyheter24 had bought Fragbite. [1]

In September 2012 is was announced that André "rich" Åkerblom would be the new editor in chief. [2]
