DreamHack SteelSeries Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Championship with $250,000[1] in the prize pool will definitely be the tournament of the year when it comes to professional Counter-Strike. Find all information about the tournament below.
On September 16th, 2013, Valve, DreamHack, and Steelseries announced a $250,000 community-funded prize pool for The 2013 DreamHack SteelSeries Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Championship. Find full press release here.

    • European LAN Events
      • 3 DreamHack Qualifiers: Summer 2013, Valencia 2013, and Bucharest 2013.
      • 1 EMS One Qualifier: Fall 2013
      • 1 TECHLABS Cup 2013
    • Online Qualifier:
      • Single-elimination bracket - BO1 & Bo3.
      • The top 2 advance to DreamHack Winter 2013 - Group stage.
    • BYOC Qualifier:
      • Group stage: Top 2 from each group advance - BO1
      • Playoff: 32 team single-elimination bracket - BO!
      • The top 2 advance to DreamHack Winter 2013 - Group stage.
  • Main Event: Group stage
    • Six invited teams and 10 teams from qualifiers.
    • Will be played using the GSL format (double elimination bracket without the final).
    • The 16 teams are divided into four groups of four.
    • The top two teams in each group will proceed to playoffs.

    • The 8 teams play in a Single Elimination bracket.
    • All matches are played Best of Three.
    • No third place decider.
